The 2019 Senza is a particularly strong expression of the Two Sisters Estate vineyard. The wine is a blend of 50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. Since it is created with only Estate fruit, made with minimal intervention, and even the yeast is indigenous, it is truly a translation of the terroir of the vineyard.

 The nose of Senza is vibrant, complicated and enticing. Ripe dark fruits, dried spices, toasted nuts, charred oak, and a subtle smokiness are all part of a dazzling array of aromatics. The palate is bright and lively with perfectly balancing weight, acidity and alcohol. The wine is fully dry but reveals a brilliant fruitiness. Very ripe and juicy flavours of blueberries, blackberries, and black cherries abound. There are underlying notes of leather, cinnamon, licorice and cloves. Senza is unfiltered and this certainly contributes to the full, rich texture of the wine, resulting in an exceptional mouthfeel. Senza has a long and active finish, as the complexities of the wine continue to surface.
