Highlighting the very best
of Two Sisters Vineyards
For our June TSV Spotlight wine, we chose our Margo Rosé.
Our Margo Rosé has an enticing pink colour, and represents the success and extension of our Estate grown red wine portfolio.
With a nose of red currants, cranberry and cotton candy, and flavours of ripe berries, cherries and watermelon, it’s no wonder this beautiful rosé earned a 92 point rating and brought home a silver medal from the All Canadian Wine Championships.
As June 13th is National Rosé Day, we thought our stunning Margo Rosé would be the most fitting choice for the June TSV Spotlight.
The Two Sisters ‘vineyard blend’ of the three red grapes grown on the Estate really shines for 2018. It is a blend of the three red grapes grown on the estate vineyard: Merlot 48%, Cabernet Franc 24% and Cabernet Sauvignon 28%. Eleventh Post is an expressive combination of these three varieties, demonstrating the exceptional character that careful blending can create. The vintage was cool but long so there was exceptional flavour development. Patient winemaking and careful blending resulted in a wine of enjoyable balance and approachability. Eleventh Post has an expressive nose of ripe dark fruits and distinct earthy notes. Black cherries and blackberries combine with hints of violets and leather. The palate is smooth and integrated, as the acid, alcohol and tannin are in perfect harmony with the flavours of the wine. Soft and elegant, the dark fruits surface immediately, giving way to layers of licorice, tobacco and chocolate. The lingering finish continues to showcase the wonderful nuances of this wine.
