Highlighting the very best
of Two Sisters Vineyards
For our June TSV Spotlight wine, we chose our Margo Rosé.
Our Margo Rosé has an enticing pink colour, and represents the success and extension of our Estate grown red wine portfolio.
With a nose of red currants, cranberry and cotton candy, and flavours of ripe berries, cherries and watermelon, it’s no wonder this beautiful rosé earned a 92 point rating and brought home a silver medal from the All Canadian Wine Championships.
As June 13th is National Rosé Day, we thought our stunning Margo Rosé would be the most fitting choice for the June TSV Spotlight.
The Two Sisters 2019 Chardonnay was 100% sourced from Canada’s oldest Chardonnay vines, the Lenko vineyard. Carefully harvested from the 60 year old vines, the fruit was handpicked at optimum levels of ripeness.
This Chardonnay is beautifully balanced and wonderfully complex, with layers of delicate flavour. The nose offers minerality, ripe fruit, oak, and hints of spice. The minerality really sets the tone, as Meyer lemon, apricot, beeswax and toasted nuts chime in. The palate is rich, demonstrating exceptional balance of flavour, acidity and texture. The French oak barrel notes are evident, with the flavours of pear, citrus, apricot and a subtle nuttiness rounding out the taste of the wine. The minerality along with enjoyable nuances of ginger, citrus zest and toasted almonds all contribute to the beautiful lingering finish.
