The nose is bursting with ripe dark fruits, spices, and barrel notes. The wine has an enjoyable nuance of slightly overripe, perhaps bruised, fruit and a subtle character of raisins. The 18 months of barrel aging with only French oak, and specifically the Garbellotto barrels, creates the savory, particularly resinous quality in wine. Senza abounds with flavours of blackberries, black cherries, blueberries and black currants, complemented by dried herbs, toasted nuts, cedar, and tobacco. Senza has pronounced texture and exceptional mouthfeel.
