Niagara Peninsula Riesling is recognized as world-class and some of the most favoured of these wines comes from the cooler, limestone-rich Escarpment benches. The summer of 2017 was cool and rainy, leading to great acidity in the crop. The fall was warm and sunny, resulting in exceptional flavour development.
This Riesling is brilliantly clear and bright. The nose is bursting with fresh, ripe citrus and honey. The wine is crisp, characterized by electric acidity with flavours of Meyer lemon, white grapefruit and tangerine. The characteristic minerality hovers in the background. Wonderfully contrasting and balancing sweetness throughout.
