The first sparkling Cabernet Franc in Ontario! Our highly anticipated 2016 Blanc de Franc is a truly unique and exciting sparkling wine produced using the traditional champagne method.
This perfectly pink bubbly has a pronounced mousse giving way to a persistent stream of small bubbles coursing through the vivid pink wine. Generous flavors of ripe citrus, tart cherries, red currants and cranberries are evident on the nose and palate. It is rich and surprisingly creamy, with a wonderful texture that is the synergy of the complexities of a well-made sparkling wine! Lush lingers on the palate, and has a delightfully long, crisp finish.
The summer of 2017 was cool and rainy, leading to great acidity in the crop. The fall was warm and sunny, resulting in exceptional flavour development. Sourced from Twenty Mile Bench and the Beamsville Bench appellation, known for producing world-class Riesling. The 2017 Riesling is crisp, characterized by electric acidity with flavours of Meyer lemon, white grapefruit, tangerine and subtle minerality on the finish.
Our 2018 Sauvignon Blanc is one we are all excited about! The 2018 vintage was a gift of freshness and brilliant acidity. This wine is clean and crisp with pronounced characteristics of green gooseberry, fresh cut grass and sweet herbs.
The Chardonnay for this wine comes from the Hultink, Stonebridge and Lenko vineyards, located in the Bench side of Niagara. Fruit from each lot is fermented and aged separately in small stainless steel vessels.
This wine is bright with brilliant lemon-green highlights. Fresh pear, yellow apple and Meyer lemon aromatics carry through on the substantial palate. Ginger and baking spice notes and a slight creaminess add complexity and weight through a lengthy finish.
The grapes for our 2018 Chardonnay were hand-harvested from premium, old-vine Chardonnay Lenko and Foxcroft vineyards in Niagara. This Chardonnay spent 7 months aging in French oak barrels to increase texture and mouthfeel.
A beautiful bright pink in colour, with brilliant clarity. Meticulous winemaking care and attention results in aromas of garden-fresh red berries. These carry through on the palate, which is mouth-watering and dry, accentuated by tart lime zest and rhubarb.
This is a dry rosé with nuanced balance and unexpected staying power. A most versatile wine to enjoy year-round.
Eleventh Post is our vineyard blend of red grapes grown on the property. The 2016 vintage was sunny and warm, with a long, ideal fall for ripening. For 2016, Eleventh Post is 72% merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 16% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine becomes an expressive combination of these three grapes.
The palate is dominated by rich fruits, with purple plums, black cherries and blueberries. The classic velvety texture of this carefully crafted Merlot creates an exceptional mouthfeel. Balanced, smooth and concentrated, this merlot lingers pleasantly to create a wonderful finish, as the chocolate notes surface. Beyond the normal expectations for a merlot, the extraordinary quality and character make the 2015 vintage a must for every cellar.
Following our acclaimed platinum 2014 vintage our winemaker Adam Pearce demonstrates once again the pinnacle of Niagara Cabernet Franc with our new 2015 vintage release. The warm fall and abundant sunshine in 2015 allowed exceptional ripeness and flavour development. The wine spent a total of 34 months aging in 100% French oak barrels. The 2015 Cabernet Franc is a deep, dark ruby colour with a vibrant nose of juicy ripe fruit and spicy herbs. A full bodied wine with red and black fruit flavours contrasted by the spiciness of sweet basil, sage and red peppercorn.
The wine was carefully crafted and spent a total of 32 months in barrel to produce intense flavours of black currant, cassis, dark chocolate, liquorice, cedar and tobacco.
