Greeted with vibrant colours of red and black fruit. Offers lovely aromas of black currants complimented by touches of earthiness and spice, sprinkled with wisps of plum. On the palate, up-front tannin gives way to a silky-smooth mouth feel filled with layers of dark cassis, tobacco and star anise. Underlying suggestion of dried cranberry and fennel extend on this lengthy, intense finish. Our most popular premium red, and the 2013 looks like it will continue this streak. Marries beautifully with a range of dishes, from an artisanal cheese platter to red pasta sauce mains.
