2022 Lush Sparkling

2022 Lush Sparkling Rosé is a continuation of the Two Sisters dedication to the creation of extraordinary sparkling wine. The 2022 vintage brought a sunny, warm summer, which is critical because of the early harvest of the fruit for this wine. Made using the Traditional Method, Lush is crafted using 79% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir. The other 1% is an addition of finished Cabernet Franc table wine at the dosage stage. The inviting colour is a reflection of the late addition of the Cabernet Franc. The mousse is dramatic, as the tiny, yet active bubbles are generously liberated in the glass. The nose is bursting with grapefruit, crabapple, hibiscus and sweet herbs. The palate has a brilliantly acidic feel, balanced by a lovely undertone of residual sweetness and an elegant texture. Hints of red currant and cranberry provide a subtle contrast to the citrus and floral notes. Perfect for any situation, Lush is ideal for celebration or sipping, as well as incredibly versatile with food. Enjoy it with shellfish, hors d’oeuvres, grazing platters, quiche, and grilled salmon.
