Tasting Notes

The Two Sisters Vineyards 2024 Margo Rosé is another example of our ongoing commitment to producing high-quality wines, as we harvest portions of the vineyard specifically for the production of rosé. 2024 Margo is 55% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Franc and 11% Cabernet Sauvignon. Very limited skin contact gives this wine a delicate pink hue, as it is made from only red grapes. Mostly Merlot, it is wonderfully sophisticated and complicated, as juicy strawberry, cherry and watermelon notes dominate. Hints of fresh flowers and dried sweet herbs further entice the nose. Using only red grapes provides exceptional texture, richness and flavour, along with crisp acidity that is especially vibrant and luscious on the palate. The fresh red fruit notes are prominent, and despite being dry, there is a subtle candied character in the taste. Margo transitions to a surprisingly complicated finish, creating a delightful anticipation of the next mouthful.
