The 2020 Senza was created using only Estate fruit, and made with minimal intervention. The wine was not filtered, the barrels were not topped up, and no sulphur was added during the winemaking process. Since the fermentation was conducted with only indigenous yeast, Senza is truly an expression of the extraordinary terroir of the vineyard. Furthermore, 2020 was an amazing vintage delivering perfect growing conditions, resulting in exceptional ripeness, concentration and flavour development

Senza is a blend of equal parts of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The nose is vibrant, complicated and enticing, immediately revealing the characteristics of both Cabernets. Dominated by intense dark fruits, Senza also exhibits enticing aromatics of dried herbs and spices with a pronounced earthiness. The wine is fully dry, but shows a brilliant fruitiness that gives an impression of sweetness.
Very ripe and juicy flavours of black currants, blackberries, black cherries and blueberries are prominent. There are underlying notes of leather, cinnamon, licorice and cloves. Senza dominates the palate with exceptional weight and texture, as the concentration of the vintage continues to reveal itself. The wine elegantly transitions into a lingering finish as the complexities of the incredible wine slowly fade.
