Sourced from vineyards that would combine to create a wine with carefully balanced vibrant fruit, bright acidity and rich texture. Each small lot is fermented and aged separately in small stainless steel vessels. The winemaking team gently handles the juice, and later wine, to preserve the wine’s delicate aromatics. From the Hultink and Lenko vineyards, located in the Bench side of Niagara, and the Stonebridge vineyard in Four Mile Creek. This area is known for producing world-calibre Chardonnay with pronounced intensity, complexity and focused structure.
2017 was marked by a rainy July and August. This was followed by a perfectly warm, dry and sunny fall from September through to November. This “shoulder” growing season is the key to ideal vintage conditions in Niagara, and the year has been called “miraculous.” Top-quality Niagara Chardonnay, including fruit from the oldest Chardonnay vines in Canada.
