In 2013, while Mother Nature challenged the Niagara region, our Cabernet Franc turned out to be a wine to marvel over. Low yields, careful vineyard management and extended hang time into November allowed it to achieve optimal phenolic ripeness and a natural 14.2% alcohol.
This textbook Cabernet Franc shines with brightness and charm. Supple and juicy with earthy aromas of dark fruit, spice, vanilla and savoury dried herbs. It continues with a core of dark cassis and raspberry, with smokey and savoury notes wrapped up in fine, structured tannins. Drink into early 2020.
