This wine has aromas of fresh plum, ripe blackberry with hints of cassis, followed by baked cinnamon and clove with a slight dusting of fresh cedar. The palate is equally rewarded with powerful, rich but beautiful balance flavour intensity and structure.  Blackberries offer a refreshing tart character with whispers of coffee bean, a touch of fresh mint and a long lingering finish.

Gold - Ottawa Wine Awards 2016

The wine presents seductive aromas of deep red fruits, raspberry, sweet barrel spice and cedar.  On the palate, brooding notes of cassis, sweet cigar and cedar carefully wrapped by ultra-plush stony tannins of great length are all there to enjoy.  Released four years after its harvest, it carries reflections of our supple and beautiful Niagara River terroir expressions and will drink beautifully now and well into 2020 and longer.

The wine is a textured, elegant expression of this much-loved variety, with plenty of peaches and cream, wet stone with sweet oak spice notes throughout. There is a concentration without being heavy, rounded out by creaminess and mouth-filling character. The pleasure is that this is all uplifted by a delicate acidity and Beamsville minerality that gives so much appeal. Sophisticated, small batch crafted and splurge-worthy, it has become a cult favourite amongst serious Canadian Chardonnay fans.

An amazing Old Vines Chardonnay.  Hand harvested, whole cluster press, racked to barrel with full solids for texture.  We watched this wine develop into an incredible example of what is too be expected of a cool climate Chardonnay.  Great acidity throughout makes this wine an excellent candidate for the cellar.

This Chardonnay is fermented and aged for 8 months in 100% French Oak. Of the 6 barrels produced, about half were new oak. The wine saw full lees contact and weekly stirring which has produced a highly textured wine. About 50% of the wine went through malolactic fermentation to round out the edges.

This Chardonnay shows generous apple and poached pear notes. The wonderful citrus intensity is balanced by pleasant undertones of stone fruit. Great weight that remains vibrant and crisp throughout with its bright minerality and natural balanced acidity. A wonderful fresh mouth-feel that ends with a touch of cream on the finish.  Good length and a lovely texture.

Fermented at very low temperatures, this Riesling is intensely aromatic.  In the glass there are lovely aromas of green apple and spiced pear, rich with Escarpment minerality.  Juicy acid balanced by some residual sugar, resulting in a round slightly citrus note in the mid-palate with a substantial finish that presents itself this side of off-dry with beautifully balanced acidity.
